Well, my first official week working from home was a success and I couldn’t be more excited to share what I’ve been up to. I’ve stayed pretty busy between working on decorating our new home, making a LOT of new jewelry and figuring out my blogging schedule for the next month.
I’ve had so many ideas over the years while I was on a blogging hiatus (while working in the media), that I’m happy to be back and working on the things I love most — even if it sometimes can make my head spin because I don’t know what to work on first. Overall, I think that’s a good thing though. I’m happy, feel inspired and most importantly, been taking the time to care for myself.
I saw this quote from Steve Jobs the other day and it really resonated with me. While the decision to leave my full-time job was more or less made for me due to health reasons, it also is forcing me to pursue my dreams and follow my heart. I love designing jewelry. It’s partially what I went to school for. Well, fashion AND accessory design, but it’s all under the same umbrella. I also love to write about things that inspire me while sharing those ideas in hope readers can enjoy the little things in life as much as I do.
Speaking of jewelry, here’s a peek at what I’ve been working on. I was honored when asked to create a line of jewelry for the Greater Cincinnati Police Museum!
You can currently find all of the designs in the museum gift shop in downtown Cincinnati and eventually, you’ll be able to shop for the jewelry on the Greater Cincinnati Police Museum’s website.
Next up: Working on relaunching FENNOfashion.com and sharing a tour of my new office!
