Oh happy Friday! It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly been a year since I was downtown squeezing my way through the excited Opening Day crowd for the Cincinnati Red’s 2016 season to kick off on behalf of WCPO-TV.

In a sense relieved to no longer be living in the heart of all the action, but at this time last year we still had our apartment downtown, so I was able to capture some fun aerial shots of the crowd below our former balcony at The Banks. cincinnati-red-opening-day-the-banks-2 cincinnati-red-opening-day-the-banksIn other news, I’ve been enjoying some of the warmer weather here in Cincinnati, which has me thinking about all of the different outdoor DIY projects I’d love to do this year.porch-under-backyard-deck-pinterestLike this for example. I could possibly even put a hot tub in the enclosed area? A girl can dream. deck-shades-backyard-diy-projectsBut maybe I’ll start with something a little easier, like finding the perfect shades to help block that bright evening sun. I really like the style of these pictured above.

Also, here’s some of the stories I’ve written over the last week for Simplemost & Don’t Waste Your Money:

And if you’re looking for a good deal on toys, there’s still one more day to hit up your local Target store or Target.com for buy one, get one free Fisher Price toys.

This weekend we’re planning on painting the stairwells of our home. We had our one year inspection where our home builder had someone come out and patch up all of the nail pops and our hallways in particular are a hot mess!

I’m also planning on bringing part of my new spring jewelry collection of jewelry to Lou Lou’s Boutique, which is an adorable local boutique located on the west side of Cincinnati. lou-lous-boutique-cincinnati-west-side-fennofashionWe recently updated my display too, so that’s fun.

Hope you have a great weekend!
