We’ve officially made it through 2015! And there was a lot that took place throughout the month of December. It was the month where a real turning point was made. I mean, we went from a hole in the ground to a house with a roof on it in 31 days. How incredible is that?
Because the house was moving along so quickly, we went to visit a lot. I mean, like probably 10 times. So there’s a lot of photos here, but you can really see the difference a month makes.Checking out our recently poured foundation. And then the building began, which was probably the most exciting for us. Every time we’d visit, there was noticeable progress. And our house was starting to look like, well, a house!
Checking out the backyard was a fun muddy mess.
Below is a photo from one of our most memorable moments of the building process: Getting to step foot in our semi-built home for the VERY FIRST TIME! We were working against the clock with the sun setting so early in December, but were were able to snap a nice ol’ grainy photo.
Then by mid-month, not only were there walls, but there was also a roof over our heads, the house was wrapped and all the rooms were clearly sectioned off. It was an incredible transformation that literally happened in seven days. INSANE. That hill in the backyard though. We’re hoping it will be leveled out, but were willing to take the risk because our setting is so beautiful looking into the woods.
Anyway, because there was so much progress that happened this past month, I divided the posts into two. Be sure to click here to see the rest!
