DIY: Summer Ready Feet using Two Ingredients

If you’re on Pinterest, then you’ve probably seen the pin floating around about this at home DIY foot soak that removes dead skin, while leaving your feet as smooth as if you just paid top dollar for a pedicure at a salon.

After seeing how easy it was to make, using only Listerine, Vinegar and water, I called up my girlfriend and there we sat with our feet in baking dishes soaking them in this bizarre concoction.

Maybe it’s not as luxurious or relaxing as it would be to go to a salon, but it seemed to work fairly well.

So here’s the recipe: ( I doubled it from the recipe I saw on Glamour)

  • 1/2 cup of Listerine
  • 1/2 cup of Vinegar
  • 1 cup of warm/hot water

Using a shallow bowl (or if you aren’t too grossed out, a baking dish), let your feet soak for 10 minutes. Towel dry and you’ll see the skin come right off. Strangely the blue dye in the Listerine kind of left a blue tinge on the top of my feet, but it wasn’t something that I couldn’t just scrub off.

See what you think. There have been so many people that swear by this recipe while others are still unsure about it. Have you tried anything like this before?
